Indoor Spring Pickleball League - Sundays @ Beacon Hill
Join our 6-week indoor Spring pickleball league!
When: Every Sunday from March 1 - April 19, 2020 (Skipping April 5 and April 12)
Where: Jefferson Community Center, on Beacon Hill in Seattle, WA
Cost: $200 Per Doubles Team
Time: Noon, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, 5pm, and 6pm and 7pm depending on skill level - Check out each division description below to determine what level you and your partner should register for.
Each Doubles Team plays best out of three games each week - approximately one hour. Start time is determined based on what division you register for. You play a new team every week, with a championship round robin on the last week.
$200 price is for a team of two players. Must be 18 years or older to play, or if younger approved by league manager.
Different Skill Level Divisions: (Register as a doubles team)
Noon & 1pm: Novice - Players who are new to the game, as well as, those who are recently new and are still at this level and can sustain a short rally with players of equal ability. Demonstrating the basic shot strokes – forehand, backhand, volley, overhead and the serve, but has obvious weaknesses in most strokes.
2pm: Novice Plus - Players rated 2.0. Players who played before or have a history in playing a raquet sport. They can sustain longer rallies with players of equal ability. Demonstrating the basic shot strokes – forehand, backhand, volley, overhead and the serve.
3pm & 4pm: Intermediate - Players rated 2.5. Players who can sustain a short rally with players of equal ability. Demonstrating the basic shot strokes – forehand, backhand, volley, overhead and the serve, as well as, players who are can make longer slow-paced rallies and backhands, and approach the non-volley zone to hit volleys. Demonstrates improved skills on the basic shot strokes.
5pm: Intermediate Plus - Players rated 3.0. Players can make longer lasting slow-paced rallies and can make most easy volleys and uses some backhands, but needs more work on developing shot strokes. Approaching the non-volley zone to hit volleys and is aware of the “soft game.” Players who also are aware of 3rd shot strategies – drop shots, lobs, and fast-paced ground strokes. Can attempt the "soft game," but might not be consistent yet. Fully understands the rules of the game and can play by them.
6pm: Advanced - Players rated 3.5 and above. Players can make longer lasting rallies and can make most volleys and backhands and understands how to use a 3rd shot drop strategy. Aggressive at approaching the non-volley zone to hit volleys and is aware of the “soft game.” Consistent on the serve and service return and when returning medium-to fast paced balls. Demonstrates improved skills with all the basic shot strokes and shot placement control when trying for direction, depth, or power on their shots.
7pm: Advanced Plus - 4.0 rated player and above.
